Staying tuned

Been a little blue as of late. Always feels like this time of year I get a little melancholy. I think the closing of the shop has taken it's toll on me emotionally as well as physically. Had a little run in with a chandelier and ended up with seven stitches on one finger and a few cuts and bruises. My young son was there when it happened and just about needed to be sedated. I don't know about your family, but something about gushing blood tends to create a lot of drama around the hubs and kids. Anyway.....I still have a few more things to finish up before I turn the key and walk away. Even with everything gone and a few dings and nicks on the walls and floors, the empty space is still so pretty. I will miss it tremendously. But I am looking forward to what comes next....after the stitches come out!

  1. You poor thing--on top of everything else! Not sure how the "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger" saying fits in here, but I certainly hope things get better going forward! (I've had a number of similar experiences--it takes a LOT out of you!!)

Hope to see you soon, shiny star . . . xo Debi

  4. I guess the place wanted to leave a permanent mark on you. Or the chandy did.lol. Oh my , your poor son seeing mommy hurt. And blood. Ugh. My son would of ran and got a band aid or just stood there. lol. Everyone is feeling depressed lately. I dont know what it is. I think we all our so overwelmed. Your place was beautiful and i can feel for you to see it empty. I remember leaving my very first salon. I decorated it shabby chic and i had so much fun doing it. Then they sold the building a little to soon. I dont think i have totally gotten over it. Even though i have a salon now with someone else. It just doesnt feel the same. But then part of me is relieved that i am not the only one responsible for it now!Sometime letting go of some heavy responsibitlites is kinda liberating.. You will be fine cause you will come up with something else that tickles your fancy, i just know it. mishelle

  5. Sorry to hear you are closing your shop... I have done that a few years ago but it was by my choice. It just became something I hadn't intended it to but starting missing it and reopened 2 years ago just in time for the recession. This time I may be closing because I have to...it will give me a chance to reinvent myself. My best to you and I hope your finger heals really fast.
    Blessings
