The search for the perfect white coat is over!  Because Houston isn't generally very cold, I always talk myself out of buying a warm coat, but inevitably there are those cold days or I go out of town and don't have a proper jacket to wear.  I showed you a white coat I was looking at on Nordstom's website, but then I found this one on Amazon for $122!  (A few weeks ago, I asked y'all about Amazon Prime and so many of you recommended it that I gave it a try.  I also took your advice and am trying the "subscribe and save" program. You can read the comments about both programs here.  I've been very pleased with the convenience and free 2-day shipping. I'm happy that my coat arrived so quickly!)

This coat is by Via Spiga in size 2, but it also comes in other colors.  I like the length and how comfortable it is across the chest and back.  I have on a thin tee under it in the picture, but I could easily wear a sweater.  Also, the belt gives it more waist definition. It looks very pure white in the photo, but in person it's a very light cream color, which I prefer.

The jeans are Gap 1969 Legging Jean- I live in these.  They are 98% cotton and 2% spandex so they give, but just the right amount.  (They come in petite and tall sizes too). The booties are from DSW and are the most comfortable ones I own, so much so that I ordered the black when I got home since they didn't have them in the store.  They're only $69!  The top ones look tan in the photo below, but they are more greyish.  My black pair should be here this week.

And I'll share a little hair secret with you.  When I want mine smooth and mostly straight, but with some body and movement, I use my 2-Inch curling iron instead of a flat iron.  I feel like a flat iron makes my hair too flat and lifeless.  In the picture above, I used the 2-inch curling iron but didn't use any hairspray and then ran a few errands.  If I wanted my hair fuller (or to last longer), I would have teased it a bit and then sprayed it.  Right now I don't have many layers, which would also give you lots more volume with this curing iron, without being curly.

To speed up my hair-drying time, I also bought this Hot Air Brush that I LOVE! Have you tried one of those? I read so many reviews and feel like I got a really great one.  This video was pretty helpful in showing how it works.  The brush does not spin, just blows air.  I usually hand dry my hair about 75%  dry with the hairdryer, then use the hot air brush like my regular round brush (with cool air blowing) and the hair dryer at the same time.  This is saving so much time and it's really easy for me to hold them both at the same time. Drying my hair is one of those chores I don't enjoy, so this is pretty helpful.

Hope you're having a great weekend!  I'll be back on Monday sharing some pics of my new office work table. Or you can get a sneak pic of it on Instagram @honeywerehome.
