Bikini Prep | Chest & Arms Workout

Bikini Contest Prep | 8 Weeks Out Recap

Bikini Contest Prep - 9 Weeks Out Recap

Quick & Easy Contest Meal Prep | Perfectly Cooked Chicken

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />One of the questions I get asked most regarding bikini contest prep is, <b>"How do you prep your food?"  </b>And I'm not surprised. NPC Bikini Contest Prep | 10 Weeks Out

<div style="text-align: justify;"><br />Thanks so much for your encouraging comments and for following along on my <a href="http://www.honeywerehome.com/2015/04/bikini-contest-prep-here-we-go-again.html" target="_blank">fitness journey</a>!  I've been emailing with many of you who are sharing your own fitness journeys and have other questions.  You can also leave a comment - I read every one!  If you're just getting caught up, I'm preparing for my second <a href="http://www.honeywerehome.com/2015/04/bikini-contest-prep-here-we-go-again.html" target="_blank">NPC bikini fitness competition</a> on July 11, 2015.  I competed in my first contest last July and I decided to do another one because I was doing most of the exercise anyway and already eating similarly to the bikini prep plan.  It's the best way I know to get in shape in a relatively short period of time, especially since summer is almost here!<br><br /><br><br />But, "most of the exercise" and "eating similarly" are not the same thing as actually doing the work all the way when you're training for a bikini contest.  I have learned in the past couple of weeks that unless you are 100% focused and dedicated, you are not going to see the results you want. <br><br /><br><br />Last Wednesday (just after 10 weeks out), my trainer measured me at <b>25% body fat</b>. I'm thankful that my Grandma, at age 88, is still healthy and energetic enough to have visited from California.  The truth is, she is just as vibrant as I remember her as a kid and does nearly as much as she always has. <br><br /><br><br />I think what keeps her young is how many interests she has and how she keeps up with things by reading everything she can get her hands on and taking care of other people.  She says the best way to forget about your problems is to volunteer for someone else.  While she was here, she imparted lots of wisdom (even helped me hem James' karate pants) and I can't tell you how many times I said, "I didn't know that!" Bikini Contest Prep | The Meal Plan

NPC Bikini Contest Prep | 11 Week Out Recap & New Short Hair

<div style="text-align: justify;"><br />Thank you so much for your supportive comments on my <a href="http://bit.ly/bikinicontestprep2015" target="_blank">Bikini Contest Prep | Here We Go Again </a>post.  I'm excited that you want to follow along and read my updates here.  It encourages me hearing about your journeys and knowing that we are getting in shape together.  I'll be doing a weekly recap and since I'm currently 10 weeks out from my NPC bikini contest, I'll be recapping the previous two weeks.  </div><br /><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /><br></div><br /><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />But first, can I show you my <b>new chopped hair</b>?!
